Summertime at last! I can't believe after this summer, I'll be a seventh year. I know some people say they're seventh years already, but I don't feel like one yet. Maybe the feeling will happen once I get on the Hogwarts Express in September.
So, what're everyone's summer plans? I'm working at Madam Primpernelle's again, and I'm actually kind of looking forward to that.

I can't keep up with all the rumours involving Mulciber's arrest, but I'm willing to bet there were no dragons or duels involved. I'd like to think no Hogwarts students were involved in any of this, but if he did do it, I hope he's found guilty.
On a happier note, I'm really excited to start apparition lessons tomorrow. I really, really hope I get my license this year!

January is my favourite month of the year. Not just because of my birthday, but because of the chess tournament! I can't wait. I came close last year, maybe this time it'll be my year.

I just realized that in less than three weeks, I'll be an adult. It's kind of weird, but I doubt anything's going to change overnight or anything. I'll still be the same person, and I won't really benefit from it until I go home and can use magic there. Still, it's an important birthday. And it makes me think about how next year's going to be my last at Hogwarts. Time seems to go by slowly, but then you look back and what happened so long ago seems like it happened recently. I guess it really does fly.

Cam, Anila just told me something that puts me in a difficult spot, and I need some advice. You see, she said she saw Naoko snogging and getting groped by Josh Ives on the dance floor, and then they left the dance together.
I have no reason to think Anila would make this up, so what do I do? With so many people there, Iona's bound to find out somehow. Should I tell her before she hears it from someone less sensitive to her feelings, or take the chance that no one will say anything? I mean, she just broke up with him, and would be devastated.
And what do I say to Naoko? That was a MAJOR violation of girl code. I mean, she just can't go around snogging friends' exes so soon after the breakup! What is so great about Josh, anyway? I mean, I used to like him well enough, but these past few months, I've realized what a prat he can be. He's definitely not worth breaking girl code for. It's not like she can't do better.
HELP ME.

Well, that's it. Show's over.
I'm sorry it's ended. I had a really great time working on it with all of you who were involved, you were fantastic. I'm not going to lie, I had opening night jitters at first, but strangely enough, I wasn't nervous at all for the second show.
As sorry as I am for this to end, I'm glad to have some more free time at least. I'm also looking forward to the spring musical.
Being Juliet was an amazing experience, one I'd never thought would happen to me, and one I'll never forget.

It seems all of the clubs and activities I'm in except choir fall on the weekend. Drama on Saturday, Exploding Snap and chess on Sunday, and Astronomy club on both days. Looks like I'm in for a busy weekend! Not that I mind, though. I'm dying to find out what the fall play is (well, if Dawlish will tell us this early), and after spending a good portion of my summer sharpening my chess and exploding snap skills, I'm really looking forward to those meetings.

Well, summer's almost over. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. There are some things I'm really looking forward to this year, like putting together the bandestra, and the fall play- I wonder what that'll be this time. Other things, like having my MOTHER at school not so much. Either way, I'm glad I won't have OWLs to study for this year. I do have a somewhat heavy schedule, though, and if the bandestra takes off, I may have to drop choir.
Hugo, do you know if there's a world record for how many people were able to fit in a single train compartment?

Well, it's official, Dad's Minister!
It feels a little weird to talk about all of this, it still hasn't quite sunken in yet. The inauguration ceremony was lovely, and Dad's speech was excellent. It felt strange, though. I mean, he used to read me stories, and suddenly I'm listening to him give a speech as Minister.
Things change, I guess.
I'd write more about it, but I'm tired, so that's all.
